Gluten Free Buttermilk Biscuits

2 cups Sugar and Spice Market’s Gluten Free Flour, plus more for dusting
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1 Tbsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Salt
6 Tbsp Cold Butter, cubed
1 cup Buttermilk

Preheat your oven to 400°F.

Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl.

Add cubed butter and cut into the flour until it resembles course meal and then add buttermilk and mix until combined. Do not over mix.(Dough should be wet, if dough appears on the dry side, add more buttermilk).

Place dough on lightly floured work surface and gently pat the dough until is is approx ½” thick and fold 4 times.Press the dough down to a 1 inch thick and cut with a round cutter. Gently push scraps together and repeat until all of the dough is used.

Place the round biscuits on a cookie sheet. Let sit for 5 minutes then place in oven and bake
for approx 12-15min. – the biscuits will be light golden brown.
